Dia Mirza breaks down at Magh Mela..

Viewers of ‘Ganga, The Soul of India’ will get to see the emotional side of actress Dia Mirza this Sunday. Dia travelled to the city of Allahabad, which lies banks of the Sangam – the intersection of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. Allahabad, also known as ‘Prayag’ is famous for its Magh Mela.

The mela is also known as the ‘mini kumbh’, where thousands of pilgrims assemble in the city over 45 days, living in tents and bathing in the Ganges.

During the Magh mela, several people are reported lost every day, including children and the aged. The GTSOI team, which happened to be in Prayag during the Magh Mela, met Rajaram Tiwari, who has devoted his life towards reuniting pilgrims who are separated from their families.

He has been running the camp for three months every year along with his sons, helping over 13 lakh people. The gratitude of the people who are reunited with their families inspires Rajaram to continue performing these unstinting acts of compassion.

Overcome with emotion, Dia breaks down as Rajaram narrates his bittersweet experiences. The actress and social activist thanked Rajaram profusely for his selfless work before leaving, to move onwards on her journey.

Ganga, The Soul of India airs every Sunday at 12:00 noon on Living Foodz.
